Employee Promotion Spotlight – Pilar Aguilar

We could not be more thrilled to announce that Pilar Aguilar has been promoted to Single Parts Packaging (SPP) Group Lead. Pilar originally joined NewStream Enterprises (NSE) as a Production Specialist. In November 2024, she stepped into a Clerk position. Within these roles, she was a designated trainer and helped her teammates grow their skills.

Never one afraid to speak her mind, Pilar has been instrumental in improving processes, overcoming challenges, and helping shape SPP into the highly efficient department it is today. But her impact doesn’t end there. When it comes to culture and celebrating wins at NSE, no one does it quite like her. She’s been a huge asset to the activities committee and is the head of SPP’s own community under the name AREA125. And don’t even get us started on her ability to create a fabulous balloon arch!

How long have you worked at NSE?

I’ve been part of the NSE family for almost five years!

Describe your new role as the SPP Group Leader. What are your responsibilities? Do you have any goals for your new position?

As one of the SPP Group Leaders, my job is to keep things running smoothly on the setup specialist and clerk side. My main goal is to help my team grow and level up, both professionally and personally.

Describe a project you worked on at NSE that you’re proud of.

I’m really proud of being part of the Activities Committee! I’ve had a blast helping design flyers and gift baskets for our events. It’s nice to know I can make work more fun and be creative.

What’s your favorite part of working at NewStream?

Definitely the people! I love my team! SPP is like my second family.

What do you like to do in your free time?

All my free time goes to my one-year-old daughter, Mia! She keeps me busy, entertained, and totally wrapped around her tiny finger. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

What’s your guilty pleasure snack/dessert?

Any kind of fruit with Tajín! It’s a little spicy and a little sweet!

What would you do if you won the lottery?

I would retire my parents, and then buy my husband the Miami Dolphins!

How has NSE contributed to your professional growth?

NSE has helped me grow a ton by sending me to trainings like Excel, OSHA, and The Power of Positive Teams. They’ve really invested in helping me be the best version of myself at work.

Do you have any nicknames? What’s the story behind them?

Most people call me “Pillar” because they can’t pronounce Pilar and honestly, at this point, it’s kind of stuck! (I’ve learned to answer to both.)

What’s a surprising/weird fact about you?

I’m left-handed! So if you ever see me looking slightly awkward using scissors or a spiral notebook now you know why.

What are you most excited about in taking on your new role as SPP Group Lead?

I’m really excited to see how our team culture continues to grow. SPP has come such a long way since 2020, and I’m proud to have been part of it every step of the way. Now it’s time to take us to the next level!
