We are excited to welcome Serenity Steimel to the NewStream team. She is our new payroll staff accountant and will be assisting with payroll, cash, and check runs. Serenity has worked in banking for the last 3 years while completing her accounting degree at Missouri State University. Read on to learn more about Serenity.
Is there any work-related challenge/project you’re particularly excited about? Or is there a new skill you’re excited to learn?
This is my first accounting job, so I am excited to dive in and learn everything about my new role.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received? It could be related to your career or just general advice.
Make your dreams a priority!
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to be outside (when it is warm out) any chance that I get. I live on a small farm so if I have free time, I like to be out with the animals.
What’s your guilty pleasure snack/dessert?
Banana pudding with vanilla wafers, I could eat a whole batch of that stuff! YUM
What would you do if you won the lottery?
I would travel everywhere on my bucket list!
Where’s the number one place on your travel bucket list?
I would love to go to Ireland, or honestly anywhere outside of the United States because I haven’t ever been outside of the country!
A personal goal I am working towards is graduating with my bachelor’s degree in accounting. After that, I would like to work towards getting my CPA!
If you could have dinner with any three people (living or dead), who would they be?
My grandpa who passed away in 2020, Taylor Swift, and Sabrina Carpenter!

I can play the flute!
