When team members think and act like owners, the results speak for themselves.
A perfect example of that owner mentality can be found in NewStream’s MGM Brakes department, whose commitment to excellence continues to deliver exceptional results year after year. It’s no surprise to us that the team was selected as the recipient of the June Spotlight Award.
The Spotlight Award is a company-wide SRC Holdings Corp. initiative that recognizes employee owners who go above and beyond their normal job responsibilities.
This year, the MGM team once again demonstrated exactly what ownership looks like.
During their annual inventory audit, the team was responsible for counting every one of the 122,043 parts in MGM’s $2.7 million consignment inventory. When the audit was complete, the results were remarkable: a perfect 100% accuracy with a variance of $0. Every single part was exactly where it was supposed to be.
While a perfect inventory audit is an impressive achievement, it isn’t something that happens by chance.
The MGM team prepares for this moment every day of the year. Through consistent communication, disciplined processes, and careful attention to detail, they maintain an exceptionally accurate inventory so that audit day simply reflects the standard they uphold year-round. In fact, the team looks forward to each year’s inventory, challenging themselves to meet—or even exceed—the high bar they’ve already set.
At NewStream, we believe that acting like owners creates stronger partnerships, better results, and lasting relationships. Congratulations to the entire MGM Brakes team on a well-deserved Spotlight Award. Thank you for continuing to demonstrate what employee ownership looks like in action.
