NewStream Celebrated 4 Million Safe Hours

Over the last 11 years, the employee-owners of NewStream Enterprises, LLC (NewStream), a subsidiary of SRC Holdings Corp. (SRC), have proudly achieved 4 million safe work hours with no lost time incidents. This milestone is crucial for the company since maintaining a safe work environment is critical for our employees’ health and safety, as well as maintaining competitive pricing and high-quality services for our customers.

A lost-time accident is an OSHA-recordable incident in which an employee is unable to return to work following the incident, according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. With a Total Case Incident Rate (TCIR) of 0.00 and an Experience Modification Rate (EMOD) of 0.59, NewStream has accomplished 4 million safe work hours. Furthermore, no significant work-related injury has resulted in a Days Away, Restrictive Transfer (DART) at NewStream.

This year, it was very exciting for our associates to be able to celebrate together in person. Jack Stack, Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Scott Dalenberg, Executive Vice President of SRC Holdings Corporationalso visited our facility and joined us in our celebration.

At the celebration, Jack underlined the significance of workplace safety and commended the team for their hard work and consistent dedication in decreasing workplace dangers and safeguarding not only their own but also the safety of others. Chris Merrifield, NewStream’s Director of Operations, expressed his appreciation in his team’s efforts to reinforce a safe work environment while working hard to meet all of the production’s KPIs.

Our employees were treated to a wonderful BBQ meal, tasty local ice cream, and a slew of giveaways throughout the celebration.

“Safe work environments impact all aspect of a workplace including employee health, safety, productivity, and contributes to cost reductions,” Sarah McDonough – NewStream Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) manager said. “By recognizing workplace hazards and addressing them, the team has not only been able reduce hazards, but ensure their safety and others. The achievement is astonishing as the team was not only able to do this during a pandemic and supply chain crisis, but also a 50% labor force turnover over the last two years.”
